DLC Association has no hidden hosting fees. It's $25 a month for hosting Levels I, II, and III. Also, there are no fees per edit, and there is no limit to the number of edits you can make with the back office. So, your web site costs will flatline.
Included with your monthly web hosting service is free email hosting (up to 5 accounts) and free email redirects (up to 5 accounts). However, adding and editing accounts is $5 per request (for email or redirect accounts) and $2 per account per month (applies to email accounts only). Redirect accounts don't affect your monthly hosting rate. So, you can keep your email accounts maintained well throughout the year.
The new "online reservation form" can help you collect reservations and cancellations for organization events. The system allows members and non-members to make reservations and cancellations via the web site, first selecting an upcoming calendar item and then submitting their payment information. In turn, officers can generate a report of the latest reservations and cancellations. It's very easy to use. This service can handle all major credit cards, virtual checks, and PayPal.
If you like this feature, please add $300 to the setup price of your site. There is no change in the monthly hosting price, but there may be a setup fee and monthly charge by your bank if you want online authorization of credit card data (so the money is directly deposited into your bank account).
If you'd like to conduct voting online, ask about DLC's "voting engine", which can collect votes for multiple questions/multiple candidates. Contact DLC today and ask how the voting engine can help your organization. If you need this feature, it can be customized to your site (for only $250).
The optional Comm Center will allow you to select any group of members or leads in the Back Office and send personalized emails to them. The system collect all their email addresses and sends out the emails automatically. The email goes through the DLC server, so you don't need Outlook or any email service to do this. The Comm Center is optional, so if you want it, please add $200 to the setup price of your web site and $25 more per month. These are fixed prices, so there is no limit to the number of emails sent per month.
DLC's new "corporate interface" can give your site a very professional appearance. Your name and logo are combined with a custom header graphic, and then drop-down menus are added underneath (using JavaScript). Of course, the whole thing will use colors that complement your site.
Pricing varies, so if you're interested in the corporate look, please ask DLC about building a custom header graphic with your desired pull-down of menus. We'll be happy to write you a custom quote.
DLC's Front Office software supports meta tags. So, you can define all the meta descriptions and meta keywords that you want. There's no limit. DLC just needs to initially set this up for you and, thereafter, you'll be able to maintain your own meta data -- without a programmer!
To add meta tags to your home page, please add $200 to your web sites's setup price. If you need meta tags defined on multiple pages (for more sophisticated marketing), then please add $10 for each additional page. These prices only apply to the setup charge for your web site. After that, there's no change in the monthly hosting price. You'll have a flat rate for hosting, and you will be able to maintain all the meta descriptions and meta keywords yourself.
Honesty is the best policy. If you're a small association (less than 500 members and/or serving one region), then we're not going to "sell you" on some big marketing campaign. It's a waste of money. It's like producing a slick TV commercial, which looks great and reaches a large audience but doesn't reach your "target audience". So, if you're a small association, DLC recommends our basic Internet marketing service. We'll evaluate your meta tags (see above) and submit listings to the top 10 search engines. Price: $100 every six months. You can order this service one-time (at the time of site setup), however, we recommend a site evaluation every six months.
If you're a large association (more than 1000 members and/or serving multiple regions), then DLC recommends our premium Internet marketing service. DLC can evaluate your meta tags (see above) and submit listings to the top 300 search engines. Price: $300 every six months. Again, this service can be ordered one-time (at the time of site setup), but we recommend a site evaluation every six months.
Here are some cool features that you can add to your web site. These features track the behaviors of the people who visit your web site. You can know how many people visit your site, which pages they access, and what browser they are using.
- Home Page Counter - This counter can be added to your home page. It will track hits to the home page only. This is sometimes all that is desired. Price: FREE. Turn-around: 1-2 business days.
- Hits Tracking - This feature will track all hits to your site. In other words, you'll know which pages that people have accessed. Everytime someone clicks a web page at your site, a "hit" is recorded in this database. This is useful on larger sites with huge traffic and many web pages. Price: $200. Turn-around: 4-5 business days.
- Visitor Tracking - This feature records information about each visitor who enters the site. Unlike "hits tracking", which records the pages that are accessed, "visitor tracking" records information about the user's browser software and their computer setup. Specifically, "visitor tracking" records the following for each site visitor: the browser name, version number, and if the browser supports each of a list of options [CSS, frames, tables, cookies, VB Script, JavaScript, and WAP]. You can see the result in two ways: (1) we'll add a report under your officer's only area, or (2) you can export the data and load it into Excel for charting. Price: $100. Turn-around: 4-5 business days.
Everyone is concerned about costs today. DLC Association will help you bring costs under control in two ways: (a) you'll have the power to make most of the changes at your own web site, and (b) if you need help to change a logo or graphic, DLC's customer service is very responsive and provides this help for free. All of the services below are provided for free, and usually within 24 hours.

DLC can invoice you monthly, if you like paying with checks, or we can automatically bill a credit card every month. Also, to reduce paperwork, DLC can invoice you for six (6) months of hosting at a time. In this case, you will only receive two invoices per year, and they will arrive in May and November (conveniently placed to not interfere with the elections of new officers).
